Things to do as an employee 1. Be 10 minutes early for work every day 2. Dress within the norm or society. That means no purple, green, or off color hair, unless you are not dealing with customers. Fishing lures hanging out of your cheeks is not acceptable. 3. Treat the customer with respect. Get them their order as soon as is possible. If you are understaffed, let management know. 4. Learn personal hygiene....enough said 5. Do your best every day. You will be rewarded. 6. Don't bitch about your job. If it is that bad, move along. 7. Don't suck up to the boss. It will get you slapped down. There are others, but follow these 7 and you should be ok.

Best case example I came across Symbol Technologies and how they treat their workers. During a company dinner award ceremony they gave a development team a bunch of awards for completing a large project. Since the project was completed, the suits decided to close down that division and fired the entire development team the following morning. Surprise and thank you for all your hard work! Mind you the only workers that got rewarded that morning were the company's security officers. They were given an extra $90 for every ex-employee that they were able to escort off the property without fuss.

Same thing had happened to me. I was fired after I hands-on lead one of the high profile extremely complex project to success within time and budget. No one was able to do this type of project then; I don’t think anyone can do what I did even today. The manager and whoever involved in the project wanted to take credits for the success this high profile project even though none of them had heard of this type of project prior to my involvement. This was the first time the manager ever got involved in chip development process, yet they all were able to undermine me. Need I say they were AGUIAs, 99% of the tech. dept.? How clueless was this manager? The sole purpose of what I do was to find all bugs before going into silicon. When we did ran into one, this guy came into my lab screamed and yelled every single morning for the whole week while I was running all sorts of tools and strategies to find the bug. Two most common rumors spread WITHIN the AGUIAs to get every AGUIAs to go against me: “she will take you job”, “she’s an American”. Ever since this company, things were just spiral downward as rumors spread like wild fire as the AGUIAs population grow, finally reach critical mess in 2001, when I couldn’t secure any type of job even though the interests were so overwhelming that I had to take 2 weeks off to handle all phone s and interviews. When I did secure a job, after I sent in my resignation, this new company rescinded their offer. The hiring manager was an AGUIA; he probably received rumors from other AGUIAs. Then 911 happened....... As I applied for jobs all over the United States, even as isolated as a company that has its own fleet of airplanes to fly their employees around, there were AGUIAs. As long there is one AGUIA, I knew I wouldn’t last long in that company, as was the case for many years working in the Silicon Valley. This is also the reason I can't even secure a fastfood job anywhere. Even now in NYC, rumors had follow me everywhere I go. This is how AGUIAs targeted people:

Another similar incident where I was fired by a clueless manager back in the late 1990s: I needed to install a patch in my Unix Solaries OS inorder to run my tool on my workstation, but required Admin’s password which I make via my manager. My manager insisted that the patch had to install in the Server where the tools were installed. I explained to him that all Instructions are being run on my workstation, therefore the patch need to install on my Unix. To make the long story short, he fired me on the ground of being “argumentative”. The manager was an AGUIA, though well verse in the English language. They all treated people as if they are slaves. Another AGUIA manager who just came from Japan 6 month prior to working with me; when I used the word “concise” to describe a HDL language, he said there is no such word as “concise”. I look at other people to see if he was kidding. Well, the rest of the AGUIAs didn’t express anything unusual, and then when this manager slandered me with all the Clients I was working with outside of the company, as well all sorts of rumors against me in this company that not only isolated me, but also was sexually harassed and abuse, I fired myself from this company and people. This basiy happened to me in every company I joined in the Silicon Valley, so my resume looks like a job-hopper. No American seems to have any ideal of what kind of people these Third World Asians-grew-up-in-Asia are. Many of them still thinking that having sex with virgin girls can cure HIV, and is good-luck. The way they compete was to put rat-prison on their competitor’s food to prison their customers; steal trade secrets such to establish companies in their homeland to compete with US companies; etc..... What do we know about the practices of these Third Worlders? How do they feel about Americans? They targeted me by ing me an American in this fashion:

Yes. All jobs are pretty much the same. NOT! 1) What if your company has flex-time (e.g., my company has a policy where you can arrive anywhere between 6-am and 9am, but you still put in at least you full 8 hours.) 2) What if you work at a place like Hot-Topic? 3) What if management already knows you're understaffed and that the customers are waiting forever, but they don't want to hire additional help, because additional help is expensive? 4) What if you work in construction digging ditches? 5) this one is true. 6) this one was also true. 7) Making your boss look good gets you ahead in alot of jobs, but people who don't "get" it refer to it as sucking up.

Number 4 If you dig ditches, or work in a sweaty job, you should shower and change cloths each night...duh! Not to say you will smell like a bed of roses at the end of the day, but you get a much earlier smart on becoming ripe if you do not clean up the night before.

Number 2 Sorry, I do not know what "Hot Topic" is, but I think I have just been warned to stay away from there. I doubt I would not fit their "customer profile".
